What is the Volume of a Shadow?

In the age of social media, we interact with other people in the physical as well as the virtual world. Since virtual personas are a relatively new invention in human history, we as a society have yet to fully understand our relationship to our "disembodied" avatars. By using a life-sized projection of a human on the floor, we ask - Does the light-shadow of virtual dancer occupy real physical space in the room?

The installation was first shown during "Sharav" (December 2016), hosted by RedLine, HaHistadrut 80, Beer Sheva, Israel, and also as part of the "Momentary Order" exhibit (by the NanoArt Group) at NanoArt, Beit Ha’Tsarfat, Hebrew University, Jerusalem on December 21, 2016.
